i've noticed that occassionally my rtbs and female krib would turn their bodies and scrape against the gravel or a piece of rock, but there are no signs of ich or any other external parasites. is this an early sign of an ich outbreak? if it is ich, should i begin treatment now or should i wait until they appear on the fish? what else could it be?

poor water conditions can create this or perhaps they are just itchy...try and look very close if looking for ich I found it very hard to detect under different lighting

yeah i will keep a sharp eye out for ich and i will do a water change tomorrow as well to see if it will help.

That can also be a sign of parasites. Is their poop long, white and stringy at all? Or normal?

took a look at the fish today, so far there is no signs of ich or any external parasites. i have also not seen them srape against the gravel or rocks either. Dabaers, yeah i thought it could be a sign of parasites but they haven't shown any symptoms of it, their poop looks normal and they look fine today. so hopefully whatever they might have had is gone or the itching is gone. thanx for your suggestions and comments.
