fish scale like white flakes!?!?!?

hi, what is the problem with a fish that has some scale sticking out on one side of the body?? she ( a guppy) color is unchnaged and not bolated body excpet that swolloen area.

It sadly sounds a bit like dropsy...either way follow my sig to diseases. Then follow the symptoms to find the disease. It could be other diseases but the uncommon dropsy hit my mind as soon as I read sticking out scales

aww... crap... now she is dead in a horrible way. she did not bloated like a pine cone but instead i can seed a hole on the side where she has the problem. the wound is like and rotten apple eaten by worm.

Perhaps she got bitten, or some kind of body rot like ulcers caused by hexamita? Sorry she's passed away

nah it was't in my tank all along... cuz its new fish.... i dunno why but those 3 female i bought at the same time all died in 2 different tanks! and died in the same manner

Must b the same cause then. Good that u quarantined them b4 putting them in ur tank. U might want to talk to the lfs that u bought the fish because whatever the disease is, most probably it came from their tank/water.
