i am just wanting to know if my fish results look ok and that nothing is wrong and if something is can some tell me how i can fix it please

ph - 7
nitrite - 0
nitrate - 5
ammonia - 0.6

thanks in advance for any help

Your ammonia should always read zero. I think that either your tank is new and not fully cycled, or you have had some kind of unusual event in the last few days to cause the ammonia to "spike" - e.g. dead fish not removed from water on time, sudden increase in level of feeding, changed filter sponge, cleaned filter in chlorinated tap-water... etc. Basically, either an increase in the level of things rotting in the tank 9giving off ammonia) or a decrease in the level of ammonia-eating bacteria.
Assuming your tank is stocked, I would do large part water changes daily until ammonia drops AND nitrite is also zero.

Hi Nessy,

Your Ph is neutral so that's fine. NitrIte and ammonia should always be zero. So do a partial water change to bring the ammonia down. NitrAte is fine (should stay under 30 or so I've been told.)

Hope this helps

Emma
