Fish Rubbing Themselfs

hi, i would like some help please
it started yesterday when i noticed my clown loaches were very quiet, then today most of my fish are flicking themselfs on the bottom of the tank, they have no other signs of being ill
i was woundering wether it was likley to be ich or a parasite

It is most likely the early stages of Ich (clown loaches are especially prone to this) but any skin irritation will invoke the same behavior. If you treat them make sure you double check the instructions as clown loaches are very sensitive to medications and you normally have to use a half dosage.

Are the clown loaches new or have you introduced any other new fish recently? If no then check your water parameters as well to make sure they are ok. Things like Ich is always present in the tank but normally the fish can fight it off, if they have sudden come down with it it is normally due to stress, poor water conditions or another illness which has lowered their immune system.

If I remember correctly I think the medication I used to treat my clown loaches with is called protozyme and it always did a great job.

thank you i recently took out a red tailed shark that had come aggressive, so that could be the reason, i will start to treat for ich and hope that catching it early will do the the job
