Hi all,

I have a 65 ltr tank (please check my signature for current stocking). Since all the current fish are bottom dwellers, I plan to purchase 2-3 fishes for the mid-upper layers. I wanted some bigger fish so my daughter can associate with them easily. I was thinking of one pearl gourami and one blue gourami. Do you think they will be suitable for my tank? Would they harass the smaller bottom dwellers? If they are not suitable, could you please suggest some alternatives?

Thanks for all the help in advance

The thing about gouramis is that they are territorial, so you could only have one, really, in such a small tank, otherwise they'd spend their time trying to beat each other up. And tbh the tank is on the small side for even one of them. A dwarf gourami would be better, but there are so many health problems with dwarfs these days that I am reluctant to recommend them. Maybe a honey gourami, if you can find some really healthy looking ones.

I'll try to think of anything else that might be suitable.
