Just wondering if anyone has one of these tanks, if so are they ok.? They seem to be just what I'm after, I almost bought a Mirabello tank at the week end but thought I'd look on the net to see what else was about, I want an all in one tank i.e filter, heater and light all on one plug. If any one has any opinons I'd love to hear them. Many thanks.

I have a 15 gallon fish r fun hex and i think it is fine. the filter is not brilliant but i have added another filter so the original filter is just for back up.

the lighting is not to bad, i have successfully grown vallis, amazon sword and two other plants which i was unable to grow in my jewel tank with upgraded lighting.

the only thing i dont like about the tank is the fact that it is all in one plug, cause you cant use a light timer as when it turns the lights off the filter and heater will be turned off but thats just the lazy boy in me coming out.

i bought the tank, stand, food supply, water treatment chemicals, another filter, heater, moon lighting, fully stocked it, fully planted it and added wood and gravel and pots for way cheaper than my jewel of the same size. and to be honest i find it a better tank and a hell of a lot nicer to look at.

the tank quality is ok and strong, the hood will need modifying if you want to add new heaters or filters but it is easy.

Hi

I am a first time fish keeper and have got a fish r fun 13 gal hex tank - was great for me as I was really unsure about buying the seperate components. I am really pleased with it!

I've got 2 Mirabello 6.5 UK gall tanks, one was my first tank and the other is my QT. The tanks themselves are pretty good, but basic and I've never had any problems with them - as long as you don't overstock. There is an area under the pumphead where you can add your own filter media, on top of what they provide, which is useful. I've also sucessfully grown plants. But - and there's always a but - having everything run off 1 plug has the disadvantage that you can't use a timer for the lights, something I will need to look into when I go away on holiday for 5 weeks later in the year. For that reason alone, I would'nt recommend a one plug tank.

IMHO AA tanks imported to UK by Den marketing (trading as fish r fun)are the best mid price ranged tanks you can get.

unfortunatly this appears on every page, even though the entire site is in English.
I personally have the gps 2100 (aa 2100) and the gps 611 (aa 611) and am very impressed with the built in filters.
