Correct :)

A little more info for anyone unawares of the dangers of overfeeding, put simply -

The food that fish do not eat will often decay and will foul up the tank water. This allows harmful bacteria to develop in the tank, which could lead your fish to developing diseases.

Do feed your fish carefully and consistently.  A little tip, more often than not, a fish’s stomach is no bigger than its eye so that may help in determing how much food to feed.

Here endeth the lesson :p

Your go Wilder :)

Well said ch4rlie.

Why is it important to research fish before you buy?

*checks to see if anyone is on my tail*

Because each fish species has its own size needs, for example, a betta could live in a 10gal just fine throughout its life, but a bala shark (usually bought at the same size) will definitely not.
Another reason is the water params or heat needs. Some fish are strictly hard water,  and wouldn't live to the fullest in the latter. The same goes for heat, a goldfish won't do well in a 80F tank.

Correct Lyraguppi. Your turn.

Another reason is to make sure they are compatible with fish you already have.

Thanks ^-^
