Fish Name And Sex

Hi can some one help me find the name of these fish and if posible the sex.

When i bought them they told me one is a male and the other one is a female but these 2 fish do not seem they are happy together at the monent the size of the fish is 2.5 inches

You cant take this to 100 percent truth but i usually can tell by the spots.. Does it have spots or not.. Both do both males.. I cant be sure but thats my theory.

Hi the top one is Metriaclima greshakei male as for the bottom one it looks like a strong coloured female lombardoi but the second one i am not to sure about.

When i bought these 2 fish the pet shop told me they are male and female from the same family .

Are they from the same family to they breed together.

no sorry the top one is definetly male greshkai but the bottom one is not a female greshakai, as i said in my last post looks like it could possibly be a female lombardoi, and IF it is a female them they may well breed but you will end up with a cross breed.

I'm not even sure the 1st pic is a Greshakei, i've never seen one without vertical bars/stripes and the head shape is wrong. I think its a colour morph of Maylandia Estherae or a cross between Estherae and Callainos.

2nd pic, don't have a clue, thought i'd seen pretty much every Mbuna but not this one, definatly not a Lombardoi female though. Sorry can't help more.

Second pic possibly an Afra cross but I definatly agree its not a pure breed, defo cross.
