Here's the scoop,
I was given a 30 gallon tank with a Midas Cichlid, and an Oscar. I had them for two days, the Cichlid killed the Oscar, the next day I bought 10 (of an unknown type) feeder fish for the Cichlid. My friend asked for the Cichlid back, and I just re-filled my tank with 6 Tetra's, 2 Gouramis, 2 barbs, and the previous 10 unknown feeder fish.

Is this mix safe? Will they get enormous or kill eachother?

Also, I'm curious as to what the 10 feeder fish might be...They are a pinkish color about half an inch long and they look like litte trouts, a friend said they might be Rose minnows? Anyone heard of that? If so, any information would be awesome!

Thankyou!

the feeder fish might be rosy reds.. http://www.fishpondinfo.com/rosies.htm

feeder fish often in poor quality; bacteria, parasitic infections and disease are common with them.

which tetras did you opt for? and the type or gouramis and barbs? some barbs can be fin nippers (eg tigers)

they are rosey red minnows... they should stay fairly small. no wonder the midas killed the oscar... a 30G tank is not near enough for either one of them, let alone both!!!

anyhow, to figure out the compatibility of your current tank inhabitants, we need specifics (ie what kind of gouramis, tetras, barbs)
