So I was looking to get a supscription to a fish magazine, but I don't know of any, except for the Aquarium Fish Magazine, which has a lot of saltwater in it, and I'm not really interested in that so I would like something thats based on freshwater fish if possible. I'll be paying for it so something thats not TOO expensive. Anybody know of any?

AFM and TFH are published by the same company, so they often have contributors who write articles for both magazines, they are both excellent magazines, but I think TFH is the better of the two, TFH also has stuff about saltwater, but that is unavoidable and really you just shouldn't worry about it because there is more than enough about freshwater aquariums, I only have freshwater aquariums and really TFH and the occasional AFM are the only mags I need, plus after some years in the hobby of freshwater you may decide you want to try saltwater, at which point you can go back to those old TFH mags and have a world of high quality information at your disposal

TFH is an excellent resource for freshwater aquarists

Tropical Fish Hobbyist is a good zine; I have to renew my subscription this month :p

One thing I like about this magazine is that, unlike some of the other fish mags I've seen, it has well written articles along with fantastic photos where others just have great photos and, well, less than interesting articles.

Practical fish keeping magazine(PFK) is what i usually buy, its quite orientated towards freshwater fish but has a bit of marine as well, it mostly talks about new/rare species of fish and fish news plus different ideas for setting up/decorating tanks and stuff, but i don't really buy many magazines now days though, so..
