Fish Loss Colour, Holes All Over Body :(

hi, I have a blue/ black stripped fish much like a convict chilliard.

I had 2 but yesterday, one died. It died with its scales all mangled. and not smooth, with like patches missing. I thought prehaps anothing fish bashed it.

But now my next one is going the same way. it lays on its side on the floor of the tank, or sometimes at the top. when it swims it still has energy. but its, scales are all uneven, and it has grey dipped in patches all over body. and head

When you say the scales are uneven, are they sticking out, so that the fish looks a bit like a pinecone? Is the fish swollen?
