Fish Issues?

My redtail catfish has just started doing something wierd! He is floating around and upside down. Just tried moving him, and noticed he is still breathing. He was just moving around this morning, and is now not moving.....he seems to be just floating? Any ideas on this issue would be helpful.
He is about 6" long and is in a 50 gal. tank that has been set up for at least 9 mths. I do regular water changes at least once a week to every other week. He has been not eating well for at least 1 week.
When I moved him he did not swim.........he just floated away a little on the twisting side.

You have one big issue here. The fish. Do you know these things can grow to like 4 feet in length and weigh over 70lb's.

Ideally they shouldn't be in the hobby, unless you have like an 10' by 5' by 5' tank.

I know how big they can get. Willing to work with his growth, if I can figure out what his issue is.

Could give your water a quick test for ammonia. Even though it's a 9 month old tank it's always worth testing. How long have you had the fish??

Had fish for at least 6 mths.
ph is about 6.8-7.0, and the ammonia is at almost 0.0 maybe no higher than .25. Just checked everything this afternoon.

Just noticed that his belly is a little round. Could he maybe have swollowed a rock and is having issues breathing?
