Anytime you get a result that doesn't make sense, you can always run a second test to verify it. Shake the bottle, the tube, everything really well just to be sure it is mixed properly.
Also, take a sample of water from a different spot than the first test.
if it is true, that's great news! But, as some of the watchers like to say, its the trend that matters more than a single data point. Dose at the same level as yesterday and see if it hits zero again in 24 hours.
If it does, then you are good to start your 12 hour testing. The ammonia and nitrite should be hitting zero at 12 hours for a solid week for the fishless cycle to be complete.
