This fish came in with some platies I bought, I have a 180litre tank and its mostly livebearers with a couple of hoplosternums, a plec and an eel. But this little fish rules the roost.

Think it is full size and about 3 and a half inches nose to end of very floaty tail. I would like to look him up to see if he needs to have more mates to make him sociable etc. At the moment all the livebearers keep to one side of the tank and he keeps to the other and chases off all incomers, unless there is food in the tank, then the majority fish ignore him!

Any answers re his id please? Lin

It's a long-finned gold danio. And danios are a schooling fish, so more would probably make it more comfortable.

Thanks for that info, will now go and investigate danios and see if I can get him some mates, Lin
