Hi. I was wondring about what I should place in my grandparents' freshwater tank. It used to house koi and goldfish for a couple of years but the fish recently died. They are looking for tropical fish that start off small but slowly grow bigger, and are relatively easy to take care of. The tank is approximately 60 gallons. The tank is not cycled yet but I am here for ideas in advance. What are some ideas?
2 Sonic-whisper filters
1 heater (unassembled)
Tank ornaments
Approximately 60 gallons (Not exact)

That's a very broad question, really and truly it's too broad to answer.

I suggest you take your grandparents window shopping at a few fish shops, see what they like the look of, then post the names of them on this thread, and you'll get loads of advice about which ones are suitable, which aren't and maybe a few alternatives to consider.

With a 60gallon tank, you've got the choice of lots of small fish, or a few medium fish.

The other thing you will need to be aware of is your water chemistry, particularly pH and KH.

Some clues as to what you want would help.

Either:
1) community
OR
2) cichlids

Choose wisely! ;)
