Any chance of clearer pics? I know it's hard since they move so fast. :grr:

Does the white one have red eyes? If so, it's probably Pseudotropheus socolofi Albino, if not perhaps a male Labidochromis sp. "Perlmutt".

I can't see much on the second pic either, based off your description and what I can see perhaps a peacock species?

i will try to get some better pics.

but the white one does have red eyes and it looks as if his fins are starting to get a reddish tint to them also.

thanks for the reply!

i have never owned cichlids before so i'm wondering if the fish that i currently have are even compatible. To me it seems like the white fish bullies all the others (electric yellow and 2 mystery fish). Should i consider rehoming him?

My tank is 45 US gallons.

How long is your tank? Mbuna are best kept in a 4ft (55gal) tank due to their need to plenty of territory. Some aggression is perfectly normal, make sure you have plenty of hiding spaces.

Here's a link for more info on keeping them: http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=299333

hi again,

i just redesigned my tank to hopefully make it more cichlid friendly. Do you think I have enough rocks and hiding spots? Should I change anything around?

Looking pretty good, you could probably add another layer or two of rock on if you wanted. :good:

Those fish are realy common in pet shops Identifying them would be easy:

The first picture contains an Albino socolofi Cichlid.

The second picture contains probably a Red zebra cichlid.

Those two cichlids are realy easy to breed too, once they reach maturity they get both active and aggressive, good lookin cichlids you have there too :good:
