I beleive these fish are saltwater fish, but I'm not sure. They are both about 6-8 inches in total length. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

the first is a wrasse of some kind
the second is a trigger of somekind
perhaps a salty expert will be along soon to
say exactly which ones.

The first is actually a hogfish which are closely related to wrasses. The second is a Triggerfish for sure, although I dont know the exact species. Hogfish are generally peaceful to other fish and sometimes like to munch on snails/hermits. Triggerfish also tend to have an invertebrate appetite and depending on the species can be highly aggressive. They both tend to require large tanks 75g and up

Thanks! Received an email from the aquarium's curator:

Top one is indeed a Spotfin Hogfish (Bodianus pulchellus)
Bottom one is a Sargussum Triggerfish (Xanthichthys ringens)

Thanks for your help!
