Fish Got Stuck And Is Injured

HI folks,

I got home after work and found one of my demson's cichlids stuck between the back wall of the tank and the black backing. it seems as though there was a tiny gap below the filter that he manged to some how (god knows) to swim into and got wedged.

We managed to free him but he has a bad graze like wound on his forehead and along his back on one side. He seems to swimming around ok, and just chilling out in hidey holes.

Is there alot I can do for him? I put in some stress coat but I dont keep meds in the house.

Add some melafix to the tank to stop the wounds getting infected.

yes i agree with wilder you should medicate his wounds to make sure they dont get infected.

Cheers for the help, afraid to say though, the injuries were too bad and he passed away the other day, I dont know how effective melafix actually is.
