Rules:

1: The person who starts the game (the games master) thinks of a fish and posts a small clue as to the type of fish it is. After 3 guesses he/she should post a new clue.

2: No one may ask 2 questions in a row. After a question has been asked you must wait until someone else has asked a question before you may ask a new question.

3: You may make a guess after a question but you cannot make 2 guesses in a row either. After a guess you must wait until someone else has asked a question before asking another question or guessing again

4: Questions must only be answered YES or NO

5: All fish should be posted in common and/or scientific name if the fish has too many common names.

6: The person who correctly guesses the fish is the games master for the next round and should start in a new thread with a new game number and a copy of the rules.

Small = under 4 inches
Medium = under 12 inches
Large = over 12 inches

OK, I'm going to spice up this game a little this round.
If there are valid (in my opinion ;)) complaints, I'll start again.

First Clue: Unusual Saltwater Fish

Don't know much about SW fish but I can at least start. Is it medium?

can it sting you, eg, with spines or something

Was it once thought extinct?

Well, that means it is large. The only large fish I can think of that has made the headlines around here lately is at the new aquarium in Atlanta. Is it a whale shark (probably not as I think those may be from the Pacific)?

you're not allowed to play this game ;) (kidding of course!)
but yes :shifty:

nope - but good try.
The one I'm thinking of pretty much made the world headlines (because of reasons above).

Next clue:
a ) It has modified cosmoid scales, which are thinner than true cosmoid scales, which can only be found on extinct fish.
b ) The first live specimen was first discovered in 1938

I think I know what it is but can't guess twice in a row (and I was just game master before this one so someone else needs to have a chance). I remember reading about it now.

yeah but I've just given clues - and you let me do the same thing the last round ? :)
