This is one of those questions that gets asked every day and you get really bored of but I've searched back and can't find exactly what I'm looking for. Currently I have a BiOrb (I know I know!!!!! LOL) with the following values:

PH - 7.4
Ammonia - 0
Nitrate - 0
Nitrate - 20ppm

The temp's set at 24 and there are live plants and a few snails in there. These readings have remained constant for the time the tank's been set up even with changes in plants and the addition of new fish, max 2 small ones per month. We're thinking of upgrading the tank to something like a Juwel 125 to give the fish a better environment and us some more choice on what to stock it with. Currently we've got:

2 x rummy nose tetra
2 x Golden danio
2 x neon tatra.

We'd like more of each of the above plus maybe some Barbs, other danio and tetra and maybe a catfish. Will all of these be happy in water like this, if not what options are there for compatible fish?

I reckon you're already aware of the limitations of the Biorb, but the normal basic rules apply, 1" per US Gallon tank capacity I don't know which Biorb you've got. If you have the larger 60 litre one you can keep about 16 tetra sized fish, so you could certainly increase the number of any one of those schools, perhaps another 5 each rummy nose and neon tetras. If you have the smaller 30 litre tank then you're probably close to your safe stocking limit. With the lack of bottom and top water surface I'd avoid bottom dwellers like catfish and top dwellers like guppies or Gouramis. The water results are great and many fish would be happy with that ph. Just be careful not to overstock the tank. If you're serious about keeping more fish then you will need to upgrade to a larger tank.
