Fish For An 8 Gallon

I was wanting to get 3 sparkling gourami's, and maybe two of another kind.

Are there any small fish that can be kept in two's and with sparkling gourami's?

Is this in an 8 gallon? What size are sparkling gourami's?

Trichopsis pumila; 1.5", personally i think you'd be better off with 5 sparklers as they are (apparently) very sociable fish.
If that is you believe an 8 gal is big enough for any Gourami.

How about 3 sparkling gourami and 4 pygmaeus corys.

Please bear in mind if your looking for a small cory that stays on the bottom, then better of chooseing habrosus as pygmaeus is a mid water swimmer.
Just a small point as I once made this wrong choice.

How about a Dwarf Puffer species tank?? Great little fish!
