Fish For A 1.5 Gallon Tank?

What are some fish that would do well in a 1.5 gallon tank? I know I can't put much in there, but I can't decide between a couple ghost shrimp, a betta, or letting each kid (2) pick out a small fish for themselves.

Any suggestions would be great!

I wouldn't, personally, have anything more than a few Chilli rasbora. Literally, a few. But they will always do best in a shoal of maybe 20+.

If it were me (and i am thinking of having another very small tank) i would think about landscaping it with some lovely small plants, then introduce different species of shrimp.

Too small for fish commonly available, I'd recommend shrimp instead, there's even the possibility of Thai Micro Crabs.

They're nice, bloody expensive however! I imported some from Germany a few years ago, it was £28 for 5 and that was without postage They will readily breed in home aquaria though.

A tank with a few pieces of branchy (not chunky) wood, loads of moss and some shrimp would look really nice

Don’t even think about putting a Betta in That! Maybe a few minnows at best or better yet no fish at alol just shrimp but even then the recommended size for them is 5gallon
