But if it's natural dyes or even real gems... Who knows... Fishes don't really care as long as it not radio active or glowing in the light. I wouldn't do it but, do enjoy tanks with cheesy decor. And yeah, It's bubbles...

I'm not a gravel fan for personal reasons, but if you like your colorful gravel and don't have fish that require a specific type of substrate, it's fine if it's your preference.
