so lately i've been noticing my tank looks kind of dirty, at first glance there seems to be little white water spots all over my tank, only things is they're on the inside, and they move!!!! not like they migrate around on the glass, but they flow with the current, and when i checked them out on a closer scale they're mainly clear with little white dots on the ends of hairlike strands attatched to the glass, they cluster in small circular colony type things.........so what the heck? is this some weird form of algae that i don't know about? are my fish procreating on me??? i couldn't think of anything really that would breed that's in my tank, not under the conditions i have them in anyways.
the current inhabitants are:
3 bala sharks
2 green tiger barbs
1 silver tipped shark
1 dinosaur eel
1 raphael
and the water conditions are:
Nitrates: 0
Nitrites: 0
hardness: 300+
alkalinity: 300+
ph: somewhere around 8.2
water temp: about 75-76 degrees
if anybody could help me out in identifying this strange phenomena i'd appreciate it. i'll see if i can't get a clear picture of it, though it's really tiny so i'll have to see.
