i got a fish that feeds on the glass but its been chasing round the tank and ive come home to find a guppy has had its tail eatan. is this normal for that fish to do that and will the guppies tail grow back?

Is it a Chinese Algae Eater? Or Sucking Loach? Both are the same fish and are know for getting aggressive. But having its tail eaten sounds more like its from a 'normal' fish- what else is in the tank?

I shouldnt see why the tail wont grow back, my siamese fighters did. I have had kinda the same problem befor now.
Have you checked that them two fish will go together? how big is your glass feeder? watch he doesnt eat the guppie for dinner if he is a biggun.

guppies have realling lone flowing tails and like the top good target for things to nip um i would sugest mabey some top plants if the nipping doesnt stop and im not sure if guppies tails grow back

In the picture it looks like either a siamese sucking loach or chinese. Need to see a side view to really be sure.

If a fish is missing or has ragedy fins then can grow back no problem. The fish needs good water and nothing stressful (i.e nothing chasing it).
Also pop to your LFS and get some melafix, that will speed the curing process along.
