Hi and welcome to the forum
What do you mean amonia kit? do you mean a bottle of filter start? that dont really work m8 and is a long way round cycling your tank that needs lots of water changes, when i said after 3 days add fish it ment a few hardy ones not most of the river

firstly your going to have to take all the fish back before they all die
and take a look here beginners resource center
take a good read Fishless Cycling Two methods in one thread

Do you have a water testing? kit what are the water stats?

Sorry Pythonman, but never believe what these "kits" say. It can take a long time to fully cycle a tank before it is safe to add fish. When the ammonia levels are high, the fish will get stressed/ill/die. Some add "hardy" fish in to help speed up the cycle, however personally I think this is cruel. You're best doing it how most people advise on here - adding ammonia daily (dependent on your aquarium size etc) until the tank is fully cycled and ready for fish.
Secondly, you must add fish gradually otherwise it also causes ammonia to spike. Just look around this forum as there is LOADS of great information on how to cycle your tank.

Good luck.

Thank you i feel embarrased now! It was a 3 day amonia kit by nutrafin ended up in the end with 120ml of amonia etc in the tank ive moved the fish into my smaller tank just now but just cant get this tank to cycle properly the ph levels are 6.0 but in my other tank there 7.2 same water!!!!!!!!

Many people fall foul to LFS advice, then they find places like here and get it right,
is your other tank cycled? how bit is it?

test you water now for:

ammonia
nitrite

as there the fish killers

Chems in water can change PH, all bin there done that when starting with improper advice. If you dont have a cycled filter get rid of all your fish get maybe a goldfish, do regular w/c's then add another couple weeks later, keep testing for ammonia when youve had fish in there for a month bump it up to 3 goldfish when your reading 0 ammonia without a w/c for a few days you can heat the water then replace them with your tropicals, keeping in mind the transition between fish would need to be quick else the bacteria would die off. Or you could do a fishless cycle (google it) or look on these forums but goldfish are pretty hardy, thats what i'd have done if i could go back, havent done a fishless cycle before though, i also lost alot of fish being a newbie but the danios i had didnt seem to mind (by that i mean they didnt die and where swimmin around happily enough, obv not good for them tho the ammonia and nitrites) and they're what got me cycled but goldfish are hardier, and also produce more waste so the amount of fish/money is reduced and prob get your filter ready for a larger number of tropicals.

Then when you have 1 fully cycled filter you can use that to seed other tanks with a lil bit of mature media, keeping in mind you would have to still slowly add fish to that tank for the new media to mature.

1.0 just now the other fish tank is 60 l n cycled

Cheers bud

"And what do you do with those goldfish? are they now trash?

If I read this right, the 60l is cycled. Can you barrow some of the media from that and put it in the new filter? That might help you speed things up. And Good morning and welcome to the forum! :good:
