My LFS had this blue zebra in its tank it was getting bullied and attacked by the others it was on its side its fins are quiet chewed and it has a hole in its side where they have eaten him its about 1/2cm big. I bought him home and he is in this state ive added melafix but dunno if he will make it anyone got any other ideas i dont think he will pull through but if anyone has any ideas let me know.

Yes its gills are still moving it moves around every now and then i hand fed it earlier it took food but its fins are in a bad way and has a chewed open wound on its side.

hopefully will he is in the tank with melafix just see how he gets on mbuna are tough buggers though.

Need more than melafix he looks in a bad way, the yellow on the fin is it fluffy as it could be columnaris.
If he's laying on his side not good news they do that when they are dying, you are going to need a very strong bacterial med.

The yellow on its fin are its egg spots. It is in a bad way as it has been neat up quiet bad i do not think it has any kind of disease though.

The open wounds can cause bacterial infections.

Which is why he is in a tank on his own hopefully he will pull through trying to give him the best chance not much i can do apart from hand feed him and add melafix.

You can add an anti internal bacteria med like interpet, you can use it with melafix as well.

I would treat with the melafix and get an airstone running not alot else you can do really i am surprised it ate food
good luck hope it pulls through
