Has anyone got an amusing fish tail????

I've just changed my 2 largest tanks from gravel 2 sand... the change went well & my 6 raphaels absolutely love it..... 1st time i've seen them in ages.

We put a couple of prawns in there 4 my Albino Oscar, he looked @ them thinking about it 4 a while then downed 1 of them... seemed 2 enjoy that & swam 2 the other side of the tank, now i must tell u that he is a very playful Oscar who loves the camera and any chance 2 get a bit of attention. He decided 2 try & pick up some sand in his mouth which promptly came straight out of his gills, looking @ me through the glass a bit confused he tried again, this time he must have put 2 much in there and started coughing, i couldn't help but laugh, but i ended up curled up on the floor in hysterics @ the point where he coughed... shook his head and swam @ a very high speed 2 hide from the camera!

Have u ever known a fish 2 cough & shake his head? I mean.... his mouth is big enough as it is let alone when he coughs! :hyper:

Anyway.... he went in2 hiding & my Raphaels then siezed their chance 2 get in2 the lime light by giving 1 another piggy backs around the tank!

I had 2 share that with u all...... let me know if any of u have had a comedian in your tanks!

Lol, thats so cute.

I have never had any real comedians. The funny thing is that my betta and my ADF share a past time of staring at you, when you look at the fish tank. :p

Would a Pim pictus storing shrimp pellets in it's cave (much like a squirrel bringing them to a tree, or wherever they go) be considered odd behavior? This particular catfish will usually go for 5-6 pellets at a time  :p

I have four betta tanks that have an algae problem that no one can figure out, but that's another story. Anyway, back when it was really out of control, they would fill up with this thick sheets of algae within 24 hours. This one betta thought it was the greatest thing ever and he would make caves in it  He'd sleep in them and pop his head out to hunt

I had to clean it out everyday because I worried it would cover the surface and he'd suffocate, He would be so mad when I'd clear it all out, seriously ticked off. Lay on his side untill a few hours later when it started showing up again

My midas hybrid-thing digs and makes mountains and valleys in the tank... one time the oscar saw her doing it, stared at her for a long time, then picked up a mouthful of sand from the area she was digging in, but lost it all out his gills
I was pretty amused by that.
He just swam off afterwards, like "nobody saw that >_>"

You just reminded me of something else when you said Oscar :p

We used to have this pair that would fight like crazy right before they spawned and they would attack everything in the tank, heater, the slate, and uptake tubes. I had two tubes in the tank and I kid you not they would attack each other with the tubes in their mouths like they were sword fighting  It was nuts
