sorry for my spellings. i have a 55 gallon tank. temp 77. and all my readings are ok. i have two kissing gromits, 2 tiger barbs and 4 tetras. well this morning i was missing a kissing gromit. i looked and looked and looked. i finally found her under a rock. well then i watched and she finally came out but her back fin was all chewed on it seemed like. but no other fish was like that. so she keeps hiding under that rock and moving slow. is she going to die or is she pregnat or what. any advice would help.

thanks andy

The tiger barbs are the most likely culprits; they are well known fin nippers, to the extent that some people only consider keeping them in species tanks, or with particularly tough companions. The way to save other fish in a community tank is to keep the barbs in large enough shoals (8-10 individuals) so they keep the aggression among themselves.
Your kissing gourami is an egglayer and as such cannot get pregnant (though she can get heavy with eggs). Under current circumstances her behaviour is more likely to be due to bullying.

Yes almost certainly the tiger barbs,
And in the future gromits=gourami's :hey:

Have the kissing gouramis been kissing much?
If so you need to remove one as this s territorial behaviour. You tank is also too small for this species.
I suggest you return the gouramis & get another 5 tiger barbs instead - that way the tigers can live in a proper shoal & the fish will fit the tank.
