Fish Death, Who Is The Cuplrit ?

Hi

New to this, and set the tank up over a few weeks with the following:

4 x neon tetra
2 x glowlight tetra
1 x Siamese Fighter (male)
1 x plec
2 x fan tail guppies

then, added the following yesterday

2 x guppies
1 x Dwarf Gourami

Got up this morning and one of my fan tail guppies was dead, fins shredded, and another guppie had nips out of it's tail.

First reaction was it must be the dward gourami, as it was only just added, however from what I have read it seems unlikely, so my question is - does the siamese fighter go for guppies after a week or two ?

I also have added today a black molly and a plety.

Any comments appreciated !

I would have to agree with Dan... I would keep an eye on them and try and catch them in the act. Good luck.

Thanks both, we took the siamese fighter back my to my son's displeasure, so will see what happens tonight. If it happens again, the gourami is going back and the siamese fighter is coming back home!!

I'd guess that it was the Gourami based on the timing.
