Added more Wisteria plants today.

Also a water test followed by a 30% water change.

Now, you must resist temptation. The tank needs time. You're right about less food, and that isn't easy. Other than pruning plants and doing weekly partial water changes, tanks don't demand a lot. When we're new to it, we want to do a lot. Sometimes we want to do too much, and we tend to do it with feeding.

This fouls the tank and kills the fish.

Plants will grow and you'll add more. They'll fill in and the dynamics of what you've set up will kick in. I'd say the next thing to do is to seek information on every fish species and every plant species that interests you. There is a ton to learn in this hobby, and it's good to start now. Working on the tank and on the fish is good - working on the aquarist is the most important thing.
