fish compability

Unless the divider is between the guppies and the betta then no.

Guppies often have bright colouring and long fins which a betta will confuse for one of his kind and attack.

thnx then ill give me betta a little space in the tank
ill let him make his bubble nest in the compartment.is that ok?

as long as the betta cant actually get to the guppies they should be ok.remember bettas need a space of 1gallon or more to live happily.

i went to the pet store yesterday, and i saw these cute fish called albino algae eaters info on them

i was wondering if they are able to be with my betta? i'm not sure though, because it says they get very agressive

i also saw these which seemed to be very lively, and i was wondering if perhaps they would bother my fish? ahhh choices.

Hi there,

I'm no expert but I've heared bad things about chinese algae eaters (search the forum for them for more info, i think they groww big) but i have albino cory's in my tank with my betta and yes, they are little nutters playing in the filter current, but he doesn't seen to mind!

:)

i too have heard bad things about chinese algae eaters (CAE)
they can be very agressive and ive even heard of them attatching themselves to other fish

IMO cories are one of the best catfish you can get,id go for them

thank you guys so much!!!! i was about to just get the albino algae eaters last night, and was really stuck between which to get (between the albino cory and the algae eaters) and i'm very glad i didn't just go ahead and get the algae eaters!!!

so tonight perhaps i will get the cory fish, do you know how many should be put in? i have a 10 gal tank right now, with a heater and filter, that just my betta is in. thanks!!!!

They are schooling so at least three.

I have three in my 10g community tank, they are fine tho you'll need to drop in algae wafers or cucumber (weighted with plant weights) for them to eat.

just slices of cucmber? weighted to the bottom? okay i can do that

and at least 3, sounds great thanks!
