Fish City

I was up late last night...when up late I start thinking all sorts of weird stuff....usually I laugh it off and go to sleep. But I thought I'd pose it to you.

If you could design a city of fish species, what fish would you choose for the varying roles etc. eg. policemen, firemen. mayor, cleaners, entertainers, troublemakers etc.

Use your imagination.....the fish do not neceassarily have to co-exist in a tank together....be random!!!

I will be replying to this once I have a better chance to think about it....

i would have watchment gobies as police, firemouths as firemen, bp as ambulance men because i swear they detect injuries, ill think of somore, thats a cool idea man

Mayor- Elephant Nose (I hear they have large brains)

Fireman- Pleco (Very good at keeping things the way I like it)

Police - Oscars (Big tough guys to keep the peace)

Cleaners - Khulis (Always clean up after other fish)

Entertainers - Clown Loaches and Neons (I think they are funny)

Troublemakers - Jacks Dempseys, Green Terrors, Pirahnas and of course, the serial killer Arrowanas

Business Men - Silver Dollars (Act all big and yough but they are actually scaredy cats)

Politicians - Convicts (They have thier kids so that thier bloodline can keep the office hehe, and they can be soft looking, but when you aren't watching they can turn very aggressive)

SuperModels - Angels and Bettas

Drug Dealers - Balas (Always edgy, carry lots of diseases)

Khuli loaches as fugitives, they have the stripes and they have that weird knack for disappearing into strange places for long periods of time.

Oscars and other big cichlids as mobsters, cause they have that whole 'wadda you lookin at' thing with their lips...

Tetras and other schooling fish as those nine to five drones....

Leaf fish as assassins, because their whole sit, be invisible, BAM dead fish!

Cories as the garbage men, ottos and bristlenose as streetcleaners....


Guppies as those families that have like eight kids in one little apartment and no end in site...

Bettas as professional fighters

Shrimp as pickpockets, since they are hard to see and are constantly fiddling with things in their 'hands'.

I'll think of some more in a little....

Mayor - Dovii, because its always what they say or do goes.

Contruction workers - Oscars cause there so good at earth moving in the tank!

Factory workers - Livebearers because there brain dead as it is.

Firemen - i think there called Dats there the fish that spit water at you lol

Cops - Jack Dempsys

Snipers - Black Ghost Knifes

Race Car Drivers - Tiger Barbs

Mobsters - Red Terrors, Red Devils & Midas, bite first then take what you got later!

Take away shop owners - Jags because they look like the fat guys who own them.

Kung Fu trainers - bettas

Road Sweepers - Plecos!

Gyms - blood parrots, i can just picture them with fin bands and head bands pumping weights thinking they are soo tough!

this is such a cool thought... im loving it.

hatchet tetras (?) - circus performers, cus anytime they get a little space, they'll jump righ out the tank... every time!

cories/catfish - those old retired men with metal finders on the beach...

giant danios - teenagers in a clique that cant seem to do anything on thier own! (darn that peer pressure!) ha!

i'll keep thinking..... hmph, this is fun!
