Fish Being Sucked Up The Filter!

found where my fish was......


how do i stop this from happneing again???

the filter is a fluval external - i hate it... rather have an internal... but! stuck with it for now

my idea is to buy bigger fish but thats not really what i want..........

any help????
 
It hsould have a nozzle to stop this with a thin grill on it,my Fluval 404 i used to have did anyway and i never sucked up any fish by accident :S

Agreed it should have on of these, (shown on pipe below)

Yeh thats what i had...you can buy them seperate from certain sites...i had a air thing missing off my fluval 2+ and managed to get one...abit pricey tho for a piece of plastic :p

You could always make some kind of mesh to go over it.

put a net over it, by turning it off you will be killing off the bacteria

rushed like a mad person to the petshop and its now fine :) :) :)
 
A little hint for if the intake on your filter breaks and you can't get a new one yet: use a stocking. :D
