Fish Behavior

Sometimes I see one or two of my fish turning on their side just before launching themselves up against a plant. Is this normal or does it mean there is something wrong?

Sounds like they are scratching. Which fish are doing this? Have you checked your water stats for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and ph?
Sometimes fish scratch because they have an itch or its because theres something wrong with the water chemistry or theres a parasite such as gill flukes. Really depends on frequency.

You mean like they are trying to itch/scratch themselves on the plants?

It was a Discus doing it. I checked Nitrate, Nitrite, Ammonia, PH, and there all fine. Water quality is good because I run an "Pro" external filter along with the Juwel the tank came with.
