A couple of angelfish fighting over territory or pairing. They liplock and nip fins. But when there not chasing each other around they are right next to each other. Explain.

Sounds like they're courting :)

Fish often test potential partners for strength by jaw locking and other similar behaviours.

Would this type of behavior be seen between 2 males or 2 females?

Hahahaha, not knowing the sex I was wondering if this type of behavior would be seen if they were two males or if they were two females. But yeah a foursome would be AWESOME! Haha
