Green water in 55 gallon tank. Added Tetra Algae Control to water as recommended by Pet Store. Now fish Are DYING!! The ones that have not yet died are laying on the bottom of the tank! Quickly did a 20% water change, but fish are still lethargic. HELP! What went wrong?

Your what was pure green, not just green patches on the glass or decorations? Hmmm, never had that happen before, but if it is algae your fish could be losing oxygen, and basically sophicating. Check the bottler of the stuff, does it mention anything about half dosing for smaller or more delicate fish? Also, whats in your tank, and what is the name of teh algae remover. You also need to check your statistics and post them.

I agree increase aeration and water changes to dilute the med down.
