Is there an nice guide somewhere where I can easily find out which fish live where?

ie :

Top of tank:
species abc

Middle:
species def

Bottom:
species ghi

I'd like to be able to easily identify and match/dismiss possible fish combo's this way, if that makes sense?

Appologies if I've missed an obvious post somewhere

You can easily work it out for yourself, if you look at the fish's shape.

Fish with a flat topline and upturned mouth (guppy, Siamese fighter, hatchetfish, archer fish) will be top dwellers.

Fish with both a curved belly and topline and a terminal mouth (one that points forward; tetras, barbs, angels) will be mid water dwellers.

Fish with a curved topline but a flat belly and a downward pointing mouth (corydoras, loaches, plecs) will be bottom dwellers :)
