First Time Co2

hi all, iv just started using my pressurized co2 im still waiting on my diffuser so for now im using a small airstone, can anyone tell me please how many bubbles a min do i need 4 my small tank 56L

I reckon you'll need around 1 bubble every 1 or 2 seconds. The best thing is to run it at say 1 bubble every 3 seconds for a day then test and up it if the CO2 level isn't high enough.

Also unless the bubbles are being pushed round the tank by the filter outlet most of the bubbles will rise to the surface and not really dissolve into the water, this will of course change when you get the diffuser, but just so you're aware that you may need a much higher rate using the airstone than you need with the diffuser
