First Serious Go At A Planted Tank (pics)

Hi there,

this is my first attempt at a planted tank, I would like comments even if they are constructive critacisms on ways I can improve it.

Java ferns
Pennywort ???
Small sword
Giant Val

Fish

2 Angels
5 Rummy nose tetras (soon will be 5 more added)
some sort of pencilfish (i think) it was mistakenly added to the bag at the lfs. It's a surface fish flat on top wide, square mouth and the last half of the fish has a mother of pearl color any ideas??

Agreed. How big is your tank? Looks pretty nice for a first attempt.

Wow! I definitely like how you've included stones into the setup. You'll enjoy keeping Java Fern. I certainly do. We can give you more suggestions when we know the size of your tank.

Hi there and thanks, the size of my tank is 130 liters dimensions 600mm wide x 600mm high x 400mm deep as for the mystery fish....I went back to the lfs and spotted more of them its a gold panchax/killfish

I will have to dismantle the tank soon just to change stands and add a sump but was tired of having no fish at all

penny wort has larger leaves, they are kinda shaped like the leaves from a banana plant, i think that is money wort which is a more traditional stem plant

take pics as it grows, its really fun to see the differnce in the different photos

I will take progressive shots as it grows and make adjustments to what I need/like etc
