I started my first bigger tank 2 1/2 weeks ago. We had a betta in a small bowl already. I got a 29-gallon tank, put the betta in there along with 5 white clouds. I've been testing the water every 4 days to monitor the cycle. Just last weekend I got my first sign of ammonia. Everything was 0's before then. Then last night I tested and had 0 ammonia, some nitrite, and surprisingly, some nitrates too. So everything is going well so far. I can't wait to get more fish. I hate the white clouds. I will probably see if a lfs will take them when the cycle finishes.
