Okay, well, I do have one quick question for all you betta experts out there.

While I've done my research and know the basics, I just had a question concerning the appropriate time to feed my little guy. I was thinking about seeing if he'd eat tonight, but thought I might want to wait for him to adjust.

Thanks for any feedback.

Did you just get him today? I think that lfs usually feed their stock in the mornings so maybe wait till then and try him with a little something :D

Whenever I get a betta from my LFS I let them settle in to the tank for a few hours and then I try to feed them a little something. So far all mine have eaten on the first day which is good. Try that.

okay, I'll try to feed him now. Thank for the advice, guys.

Glad I joined this place!

No problem, I'm glad to see that you are enjoying the forum. So how did the little guy do when you tried to feed him?

Dropped in a couple pellets, and he grabbed 'em right up. I think he's really adjusted to the new scenery because when I peer in to look at him, he follows me around :) Seems really relaxed and comfortable.

Thanks for the tip.

sounds good. If you're unsure about how much to feed him a day its 3-4 pellets a day and usually people put two in in the morning and two in in the evening. Have fun taking care of the new betta :good:
