Bought myself six tetra and 1 little sucker fish (cant remember what he is)
just watching them and seen a snail in the tank, tiny little thing, as i was then looking for them ive found 3. Would these have been on my fish or on my plants???

Also i think theres something wrong with my fish, the red of the cardinals is looking patchy and my neons are looking pale (in the red part), the only ones that looks ok are my diamond headed tetra.

Ive got white balls of 'stuff' in the bottom of my tank as well which im not sure about. ive taken a load of it out, put some and the snails in a little pot to take to fish store to find out whats up with them.

just uploading some photos of the problems, will put them on here when they are up.

If the ball things look like little white clouds then i had the same when i first set my tank up. By the end of the week it was gone :)

i presume the snail came from my plants rather than with the fish, if so could i complain about it to pets at home where i bought the plants?

The white stuff is probably left over fish food that has not been eaten.
The fading of the red line in the tetra may possibly be Neon Tetra Disease (NTD)
The snails, if you have live plants more then likely are a type of pond snail. This often happens if you buy plants that do not say they are snail free. If indeed these snails are pond snails, you will find many many more. As they reproduce quickly and can be a pain to get rid of.

thanks, is there anything i can do to get rid of these snails? apart from pulling them out of the water whenever i see them
