Wow is all I can say, My tank is 25g UK 24 inch deep octagonal, it has been set up since July and I heavily planted it by october. Have moved things round a few times, I still have some tweaking to do.
For lighting I have 2 arcadia 14w freshwater 15" tubes, an arcadia original tropical 14w tube and a interpret triton 14w tube, giving 56watts. Not sure of the watts per gallon, I have not worked it out but I think it is around 2.

I dose with flourish excel every other day and use root tabs for the amazon sword and crypts as I just have sand as the substrate.

Today I have done a 25% water change and when rearranging a few leaves so they are not pressed against the glass I noticed my anubias nana has a flower opening.

I am chuffed to bits (please don't try to tell me it only flowers in high ammonia - I read that post).

For my first planted tank I think I am doing quite well.

I will post a picture as soon as the water has cleared following the water change.

I have not yet started to use CO2, I have purchased the nutrafin kit but have not been anywhere to get the brewers yeast yet, hence using excel. I would appreciate any advice as to whether I am fertilising enough or too much etc.

EDIT Changed title to include Pic Thanks themeleous

Thats excellent news! :yahoo: You must be well chuffed, I know I was when I got mine to flower :)

Thanks Themeleous, I really am chuffed.

Neal, I have no idea how you get them to flower. The thing was I was going to move it to the new aquacube for my other half, however now it has flowered there is not a chance I will move it!!!!

The tank cleared enough to get a photo of the flower!!

I've had an Anubia for years, only flowered once. I'd be interested in knowing what makes them flower as well.
