Hi all,

I am thinking of setting up my first marine aquraium, I am looking to get a 75G (UK) tank and i am thinking of getting these fish/invert...

1x White Flame Scallop
1x Colored Sea Squirt
1x Black + White Percula Clownfish
1x Yellow Watchman Goby
2x Rose Bulb Anemone
3x Ocellaris Clownfish
3x Bicolor Pseudochromis
+
100 pounds (weight) of live rock

I am not sure if this would be over stocking the tank or not, but i do know that u cant have as many marine fish as salt water fish.

If this is under-stocked could someone suggest a few fish that would go in this setup please?

Cheers
Chris

U r going to only want 2 clownfish or else they will kill each other off. I would suggest a type of Chromis instead of the psuedo's. # is a perfect number for chromis schools. Ane,mones need at least 195 watts. They are an expert only type of thing. They need a tank that has been established for over a year. No matter what the LFS guy tells you do not get any anemones. U could get a colt leather coral which looks similiar. U need lots of lights for coral.

Sound advice fishy

i always try and persuade people to look for an alternative to purcasing an anemone. A sarcophyton is an excellant substitute and requires far less work than an anemone.

I would say you can house more fish than your current list. Perhaps a royal gramma and a nice dwarf angel?

If you do enter the world of corals then powerful lighting is needed. In fact powerful lights are needed anyway if you had an anemone :*)

Navarre i was thinkoing about recommending a dwarf angel but they have been known to be a 50/50 chance at being coral nippers.

This has been said Fishy. I have to say though, i have had many dwarf angels and only 1 has beena nipper. My Lemonpeel was a terrible nipper and i had to get rid of it. SInce then i have also had Coral Beauties, Flame angels, Wattanadaes, purple masked, I have even had a Koran and curently an Asfur angel. They have all behaved. (the Koran did like zooanthids but never touched anything else).

I think its safe tosay that some dwarfs are less prone to nipping than others. I have hear many instances of Lemonpeels nipping but very few Flames and Coral beauties nipping (thuogh a friend has just had one in his tank and this is the first coral beauty i have seen nipping).

I think its a case of taking your chances :*)

Pygmy angels are actually the least prone to nipping i think. THey are lso the smallest. If that doesnt strike your fancy than Coral beatuies are great.
