Hi there, i've just noticed some fry in my tank from one of my hifin platys!

Hard to get decent shots of... but I was wondering if anyone could take a guess as to how old they might be?

Below is a shot of a fry with my dwarf gourami in the background looking to pick off some of them!

So far i've spotted 5, but i'm sure there's more and/or more on their way!

Been a while since I had fry, there cute, about two weeks old at a guess.

I would have to take a guess and say that they are no more than a week old...they have very little colour and there eyes are still very large (they usually shrink down and fit the body of the fry at around 2- 3 weeks old.....well mine do anyways)

Good luck with the fry....hope you enjoy watching them swim around :D

Kepp us updated on growth and such :D

With as translucent as the tail is and the overall torpedo shape of the body and trying to judge the small size I would say less than a week old. New born fry seem to be almost as wide as they are tall making them seem almost like a circle as seen from the front. with in a couple weeks they grow taller as well as longer which makes them look more oval shaped as seen from the front.
