First Ever Sw 55 Us Gallon Tank

Welcome to my journal

Well, I've decided to bite the bullet and get a sw 55 gallon tank. I am very excited and a noob at sw. So i will be taking it very very slow. Tuesday i will be going to petsmart to pick up the tank and stand. I will have some photosynthetic corals (softies and LPS) also in the later updates. So any help is appreciated. I need help with stocking and CUC. Any info is greatly appreciated. Pics Tuesday when i get the tank and stand.

HAHA yes clowns appeal to me lol and they have to appeal to my parents because they will be paying for the live stock. So i got some help from the chat and have it down to:
2x Oscellaris Clowns
1x bicolor dottyback
1x carpenter's flasher wrasse
1x diamond watchman goby
1x firefish
1x Kaudern's cardinal
1x zebra barred dartfish

I'd skip the bicolor dottyback as they are very aggressive and just stick with the royal gramma if you want that "look".
Are you looking to add all of those fish or still narrowing it down?

I couldn't remember if it was the dottyback or the royal gramma that was aggressive. I would like to keep the Whole list if thats possible, and as you know im new to sw and i am not too familiar with the fish and their temperament.

Time to get a stock list for CUC. This is where i have NO idea what or how many to get. I just no i wanna get some sort of star fish heh

With the CUC I have found after a lot of questioning the best way to do that is to buy a little bit at a time! I have a 6foot tank and have just got my first 'wave' of CUC only 3 hermits and 3 turbo snails but will up it as I need it. Opinions vary widely on how many CUC is needed and I think it depends on the tank!

I get what your saying slowly add them till u think it's enough is basically what your saying right?

Do you thing i have space in my tank for some banded shrimp. A star fish and MAYBE an urchin? Later down the road tho.

i think if you get quite a small str it should be fine. tuxedo urchin would be fine they eat algae.

Surprisingly I am kind of familiar with those names. And hermits are like red legged, blue legged and Halloween hermits right? Cause the Halloween ones are pretty cool. I'll read up on shrimps, stars, and the tuxedo urchin.
