I just had to euthanize my first fish today :-( ... it was a black female molly who suddenly came down with columnaris and wasn't getting any better, even with treatment. She was one of my special fish... I rescued her as a small fry from Petco with a teeny little sunken in stomach and big baby eyes. R.I.P. little girl... you were loved very much. :byebye:

Sorry to hear that, it awful, R.I.P. little girl.

I'm so very sorry.
I'm not looking forward to that first one either.
You did what was best for her and gave her a great life.
I'm sure these words are not helping too much but for what it's worth I feel really bad for you, and with you.

Hang in there.

You should not feel sad... if you do,the next one will be tougher. *jeers and points*

But... sorry to hear that. I hope you won't have to euthanize again. And advice on that note: stay away from neons.

Oh well, at least it had a better life with you than it would have in the garbage can at Petcos. :shrugs:

I know how it is... I had to euthanize my first one this year too. It's really tough, but as I'm sure you know, it's the best gift we can give them sometimes.

RIP molly :-( euthanising is tough but you did the right thing.

I hope I did the right thing. I kept thinking... maybe, just maybe, she'll pull through. Then I noticed that she had wedged herself into a plant and was barely breathing. :-( I couldn't let her suffer anymore.
