First Bubble Nest !

I found my first bubble nest today made my Theo.
Just thought i would let you know,its only a small nest but hey, its a nest.
I have just one question, are bettas that build nests healthy ones because whenever i feed mine he just spits out the flake that i give him, do you think he will be eating some of it anyway because in the week that i have had him all that i know he has eaten is 5 bloodworms,which made me wonder that only that food cant have fed him enough to have him healthy enough to build a bubble nest right?

Hi Mate

if you have only had him for a week he could still be settling in, what flake foods are you feeding him on.

if hes building a nest it could be a sign of him being happy, dont worry about how much he eats apparently a rough guess on a bettas stomach is its the same size as its eye. too much food could bloat him
