First Betta

I have just bought a beautiful purple male - he is so gorgeous!!!

He is on his own in a 64L aquarium and seems to be loving it. However, I did have other plans for the tank (before i spotted him) and someone has given me a 60l BiOrb.

I have no experience of either - would he be happy in the BiOrb?

As long as the BiOrb is heated and he can get fresh oxygen I dont see why it wouldnt work

has your biorb got a lid? as bettas jump. Just asking as I have a small one I keep a male mollie in (he is hell bent on breeding with anything in the tank, male or female,so he is having time out!) and it doesnt have a lid

I changed my mind and bought another small tank instead! Its a 48L fish box - really nice. Cycling it now.

So I am going to have my 125L community tank, the 48L will be for the Betta - which has been christened Flame by my children - and the 64L is going to have a plethora of tiny, fast moving fish in it - I already have some silver minnows who are quite happy with Flame for the time being!

All this started from a single goldfish bowl - I think I might be getting a tad obsessive LOL

I am going to try and get some pictures this afternoon - I am finding taking fish photos really difficult but will get some up as soon as I can
